FEED THE WORLD Campaign for food sovereignty and sustainable agriculture
This campaign aims to raise social awareness of the causes of world hunger. It also promotes the principles of food sovereignty and sustainable agriculture as an effective means of combating this problem. We encourage Polish consumers and food producers to reflect on the impact of agricultural production methods and consumption on hunger in countries of the Global South. We encourage consumers to alter their behaviour and attitudes toward the development of sustainable production and consumption of food, both in Poland and abroad. We help people in our country realize that sustainable agriculture, buying local food and conscious consumption bring economic and social benefits, protect the environment and have a real impact on improving the situation of the poorest countries.
Our activities contribute to Millennium Development Goal No. 1, in which the international community, including Poland, have committed to reduce the number of people suffering from hunger in the world by 2015.
