What every young consumer should know
This was a project undertaken in 2006 - 2007 in cooperation and with the support of the Office for Competition and Consumer Protection. The campaign was targeted at children and teenagers aged 10 to 19.
The young people we worked with gained knowledge and practical skills relating to their rights and obligations as consumers. The kids have learned what it means to be a consumer, how to avoid being cheated in a shop, bank or while buying things over the Internet, what a complaint or a warranty is, and how to shop consciously and rationally, not being influenced by advertising.
The project was implemented in 16 provinces of Poland, where we taught around 14,000 students. The sessions were conducted in 480 primary and secondary schools.
All children from participating schools could also take part in
a 3-stage art competition.
