Teatr Figur kidnaps us, delights us, and transports us into a place where nothing is clear and where everything takes on a new meaning. Performances stimulate our imagination, make us play with ideas, explore like a child and become more mature at the same time. And the best thing is that both children and adults have great time. The concept behind Teatr Figur is to promote intelligent, positive, energetic activities to be enjoyed by children and parents together. There are no age limits. Fortunately, there are no architectural barriers either, so wheelchair users can also participate. Teatr operates mainly in Podgórze, but that is only their official headquarters, and the troupe travels all over Poland with various projects, visiting even the most remote corners of our country. There are a few extra things we appreciate Teatr Figur for: running workshops for children and adults, openness to co-organising a Fair Trade day with us and giving many objects a second life. The Puppet Theatre troupe engages children from the disadvantaged families of Kazimierz and Podgórze. We can really recommend it, especially the shadow theatre performance; the smell of the elephants after the rain - pure magic!
